Kamari Hope, 36, is being charged with threats (deadly weapons, explosives, chemical or biological agents), assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery on ambulance personnel, disorderly conduct, and trespassing, according to Boston police.

Around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to a reported “disturbance.” When they arrived, state police assigned to the hospital said Hope allegedly went into the emergency room “and quickly became loud and aggressive towards the staff.”

Hope was asked to leave. He then allegedly began spitting on the staff “while screaming and claiming that he had a highly contagious illness,” police said. They didn’t say what highly contagious illness he said he had.

Security then attempted to escort Hope outside. Hope allegedly began to hit officers with his fists clenched, and was then placed in handcuffs, police said. He’s to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court at a later time.
