Police charge 23-year-old with shooting a man in the back in Randolph

Randolph police arrested a man Tuesday after he allegedly shot a 28-year-old multiple times in the back, Chief William Pace said in a news releasePace said officers arrested and charged Jason Mukoro, 23, of Randolph for allegedly shooting another man around 4:50 p.m. Monday near 10 and 15 Ward St.The man was found at the scene suffering non-life threatening gunshot wounds to the back before an ambulance took him to a local hospital, Pace said. Police said their investigation revealed that Mukoro fled the scene on foot. “Police obtained a search warrant to search his home and located and seized the clothes he wore during the shooting and 10.2 grams of cocaine,” Pace wrote in the release. “No weapons were found in the search.”Mukoro was arrested near his home Monday night and charged with attempted murder, carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, assault with a dangerous weapon, and possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, police reported. He was expected to be arraigned Tuesday in Quincy District Court.
