Teenagers were allegedly jumping on parked cars in Cambridge. A man who told them to stop was reportedly stabbed.

The teens were “jumping up and down as hard as they could, just kind of stomping," one witness said.

A man was reportedly stabbed in Cambridge Sunday night after he tried to stop teenagers from jumping on parked cars.

The teens were throwing their weight against the hoods and tops of the vehicles on Hingham Street, nearby resident Nick Weigel told Boston 25 News.

“I heard some banging noises across the street,” he said. “Jumping up and down as hard as they could, just kind of stomping.”

Weigel called 911. About an hour later, he learned a passerby who tried to stop them allegedly had his arm slashed.

“I called 911, I didn’t go near them,” he said. “I’m glad I didn’t approach them, it’s something I thought about doing.”
