Boston police arrest 2 teenagers after report of shots fired in Dorchester
Police didn't report that anyone was hit by the gunfire.
A 16 and 15-year-old were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Dorchester District Court after Boston officers, responding to a call of shots fired Tuesday, chased after them and confiscated two firearms, police said in a news release.The incident happened around 2:45 p.m. near 21 Bullard St. in Dorchester. Police said the responding officers, with the Youth Violence Strike Force, observed the male teens “walking away from the scene.” As they approached the pair, the boys allegedly took off running.Officers said both suspects were clutching their waists as they ran, indicating that they were each carrying a weapon.Once police caught up with them, officers arrested them and reported seizing a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 380 and a Ruger 9mm.The teenagers have both been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and possession of a loaded firearm. Both teens are from Boston.
