Police searching for driver after vehicle strikes pedestrian, multiple parked vehicles, fence
The incident happened just before noon on Thanksgiving.
A pedestrian was struck after police say a driver struck multiple parked vehicles on Columbia Road in Dorchester and then fled the scene.Boston police were called to the area near 682 Columbia Road around 11:54 a.m. on Thursday.“It was a car accident that turned into hitting a pedestrian,” Boston police Officer Kim Tavares, a spokesperson for the department, told Boston.com.The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries, she said. No arrests have been made, and police are continuing to look for the suspect.A witness, Bernaldino Rosa, told WHDH that a dark-colored sedan struck a parked car that, in turn, hit a car in front of it. The offending vehicle then spun and hit a fence and the pedestrian. The driver allegedly told a witness that he didn’t have a license and that he had to flee, WCVB reported.
