Officers arrest man who allegedly ‘violently assaulted’ female at North Station
Detectives were working on a tip near the Park Street MBTA station Friday when they saw a man who matched photos of the alleged attacker.
Police arrested a Boston man accused of violently assaulting a female at North Station last week.

Robert Gaul, 45, allegedly attacked the female, whose age has not been released, around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police said the assault was unprovoked.
Detectives were working on a tip near the Park Street MBTA station Friday afternoon when they saw a man who matched photos of the alleged attacker, according to a release.
Gaul reportedly confirmed that he was the man in the photos and was then arrested. He also had two warrants out for his arrest for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60 years of age and aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Gaul has also used the name Robert Booker, according to police.
