The officers were leaving police headquarters when they saw two men having a “physical confrontation” on Southhampton Street, the release said.

As they approached, one of the men began walking away quickly and the other started yelling, “He stole my wallet,” police said.

Police stopped the man accused of the crime, 19-year-old Royal Kindell, and saw he was holding the other man’s wallet, they said.

The 50-year-old whose wallet was reportedly taken told police he was walking down the street when Kindell grabbed his wallet from his hands.
