A 27-year-old Woburn man was arrested Saturday morning for an indecent assault inside Boston’s Haymarket Station, MBTA Transit Police said.

Authorities received a radio call around 5:25 a.m. for a reported assault at the station, officials said in a statement.

On arrival, police found a female victim who told them she was indecently assaulted by a man while taking the elevator to the Orange Line platform, according to officials.

“The victim provided a description of the offending male to officers who then conducted an area search,” police said.

Officers found the man, later identified as Gilbert Clement, in the station and placed him under arrest, officials said.
