The woman was in her 20s, according to the Northwestern District Attorney’s office.
Her body was reportedly found near the Jones Street entrance of an Athol wastewater treatment plant early Monday morning.
Neither the woman’s name nor the cause of her death have been released to the public.
State police and the Athol Police Department are investigating the death.
