Boston-based company ‘heartbroken’ after delivery driver found apparently shot to death in truck
Roberto Fonseca-Rivera, 44, worked for Katsiroubas Produce of Hyde Park and was making deliveries in a company vehicle at the time of his death.
After a delivery driver was found apparently shot to death in his truck Friday, employees at the Boston-based company he worked for told WHDH they’re “heartbroken.”
Roberto Fonseca-Rivera, 44, was found in Rockingham, Vermont, around 5:45 p.m. Friday on Route 103. He worked for Katsiroubas Produce of Hyde Park and was making deliveries in a company vehicle at the time of his death, according to state police.
Delivery company owner Ted Katsiroubas told WHDH that Fonseca-Rivera was a positive presence.
“(He) was a guy that, whenever I saw him, had a smile on his face,” Katsiroubas said. “(We’re) really heartbroken, just trying to keep together, be as a group, act like an extended family.”
Katsiroubas said the company is bringing in counselors to work with employees affected by the sudden loss.

Investigators believe the shooting happened between 1 and 1:30 p.m. Friday near the location where Fonseca-Rivera was found. A preliminary investigation indicated this was an isolated incident, police said.
Katsiroubas Produce is reportedly cooperating with Vermont State Police in the investigation.
Police are looking to speak with anyone who saw the produce truck on Route 103 Friday afternoon and anyone who saw anything suspicious involving the truck. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police barracks in Westminster at 802-722-4600.
