Apparently drunk man crashes into MBTA bus, runs from scene

An allegedly drunk Boston man crashed into an MBTA bus Tuesday and then ran, according to police.

Robert Scott, 42, reportedly drove his Honda Odyssey — in reverse and against traffic — into the bus. He also hit a legally parked vehicle, police said.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. on Blue Hill Avenue.
After hitting the rear of the bus, Scott reportedly argued with the bus driver and then ran away.
Officers who located Scott said he smelled strongly of alcohol and showed other signs of intoxication. Scott was placed into custody and transported to transit police headquarters for the arrest booking process, at which point police found he also had been suspended from operating a vehicle.
