Nashoba teacher accused of swapping nude photos with now-16-year-old student over Snapchat

A Nashoba Regional High School teacher is facing charges for allegedly swapping nude photos with a now-16-year-old student over Snapchat.
Dorothy Bancroft Veracka, 42, was arraigned Tuesday in Clinton District Court, Boston 25 News reported. She was charged with soliciting nude photos of a child, sending obscene matter to a minor, and possession of child pornography.
Dorothy Bancroft Veracka was placed on administrative leave from Nashoba Regional High School on September 30. She was allowed to leave on personal recognizance after her arraignment today, but has been ordered to stay away from children under the age of 16. #WBZ pic.twitter.com/35fsay0Fxc

The exchanges allegedly happened from Sept. 2018 to March 2019. Court documents cited by Boston 25 indicate boy showed police Snapchat messages, which he had saved, between him and Veracka.
Veracka, who taught math at Nashoba, was placed on administrative leave in September. After her arraignment, she was released on personal recognizance but ordered to stay away from the school and anyone under the age of 16.
Her next court date is scheduled for Nov. 26.
