Man tried to lure child into vehicle with money, Ayer police say
“The Ayer Police Department wants all citizens to be aware of this report so as to keep extra eyes out on the children in their neighborhoods."
A child was offered money to get in a car with an unknown man in Ayer, according to police.
The driver was described as a balding white male with a short black beard. The vehicle was described as tan, but police said no other descriptors were available.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. Monday near 55 Littleton Rd.
“The Ayer Police Department wants all citizens to be aware of this report so as to keep extra eyes out on the children in their neighborhoods,” police said in a Facebook post.
