Caught on video: Group of men rip 60-year-old man’s cane from his hand, kick, stomp on him

One man has been arrested and police are looking for others.

Several men allegedly tore a cane from a 60-year-old man’s hand at the Ashmont MBTA station and, after he fell, the men assaulted and robbed him, transit police said.

Police were called to the scene around 5 p.m. Wednesday for the incident. Julius Tolbert, 47, of Hyde Park, was identified as the man who allegedly stomped on the victim’s ankle and kicked him; he was arrested.

Police say they’re searching for others involved.
