Allegedly drunken driver crashes into home, narrowly misses sleeping resident

Lindsay Fornaciari, 28, of Cranston, Rhode Island, was identified as the driver.

An allegedly drunken driver crashed into a Rehoboth home early Sunday, WCVB-5 reported, narrowly missing a person who was sleeping inside.

Police responded to the scene on Providence Street just after 2 a.m. and found a Toyota Corolla that had crashed through the front of the house.

Officers told WCVB-5 the car was just feet away from hitting the bed where one of the home’s residents was asleep.

Lindsay Fornaciari, 28, of Cranston, Rhode Island, was identified as the driver. Fornaciari was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation.
