Initial story below:

Police are searching for a suspect who is believed to have killed a 51-year-old man in Lowell over the weekend.

The man was found dead on the floor of his Wilder Street home around 5 p.m. Saturday, according to a release from the Middlesex District Attorney’s office. The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide and determined the man died from blunt force trauma. His name has not been released.

Anthony “Tony” Massetti, 53, is suspected to have hit the man, whom officials say he knew, during some kind of fight.

Massetti is believed to be homeless, the release said, and is regularly in Lowell. He might have one or more guns and has been known to bicycle around.

Police said he has a tattoo that says “TONY” on his right bicep, Rolling Stones lips on his right forearm, and a dragon on his left forearm.

The crime doesn’t seem to be random, officials said, but members of the public should consider Massetti armed and dangerous and shouldn’t approach him.

Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact the Lowell Police at 978-937-3200 or the Massachusetts State Police at 508-820-2121.
