2 men shot in Quincy early Wednesday morning

Upwards of 27 shots were fired during the incident, police say.

Two Dorchester men were found shot in Quincy early Wednesday morning, and police say upwards of 27 shots were fired during the incident.Police responded to what they called a “chaotic scene” on Rodman Street around 1:50 a.m. There, they found the two male victims, ages 24 and 40, shot, along with ballistic evidence in the street as well as into the side of a nearby house, according to Quincy Police Capt. John Dougan.The 40-year-old victim was shot five times, while the 24-year-old sustained one gunshot wound to his leg. Both were brought to Boston Medical Center, and the 40-year-old was rushed into surgery, Dougan said.The victims were outside when police arrived; there weren’t suspects yet as of around noon on Wednesday, according to Dougan. “We do not believe this is random,” he said, noting that police are investigating if the incident is gang related.
