An impaired driver crashed into a utility pole with 3 kids in his vehicle, police say
The children, all under the age of 5, were not injured.
A Yarmouthport man allegedly crashed into a utility pole while driving high on Percocet Saturday afternoon with three small children in his vehicle.Noah E. Castellano, 36, is charged with operating under the influence of drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger, and child endangerment, police said.Officers were called to the scene of the crash around 4:30 p.m. near Summer Street and Route 6A in Yarmouthport.On scene, Castellano allegedly told police he was “falling asleep while driving” and that he had taken Percocet, which he had gotten illegally. Witnesses told officers that Castellano almost struck other poles before the crash.The children, all under the age of 5, weren’t hurt, and Castellano was arrested at the scene. The state Department of Children and Families was notified.
