Roxbury man charged with murder after allegedly stabbing woman to death

A Roxbury man was charged with murder Sunday after allegedly stabbing a woman to death.
The incident happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. Sunday near Clarence Street in Roxbury.
Officers responding to the call found the woman suffering from multiple stab wounds at the scene, according to a release. She was taken to a hospital and later died of her injuries.
Valdir Chaves, 43, was arrested at the scene.
The identity of the woman who was killed has not been released.
