Panjrolia allegedly fatally shot his 60-year-old father, Mahendra B. Panjrolia, on Saturday evening. Philadelphia police said the shooting occurred around 9:31 p.m. when the 31-year-old retrieved an “assault rifle” from the home’s upper floor and first discharged the weapon once in a bathroom on the first floor. He then allegedly left the bathroom and pointed the gun in the direction of his mother and father, firing multiple shots, one of which struck his father in the head.
In their advisory, Philadelphia police said Sohan suffers from schizophrenia and may have been under the influence of narcotics.
