Man pulled over going 142 in a 65 zone told trooper he was headed home to New Jersey, police say
He was charged with reckless operation.
New Hampshire state police arrested a man Saturday morning for allegedly driving 142 mph in a 65 zone.
The man — 51-year-old Eric Joseph, of Short Hills, New Jersey — was driving a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk on Interstate 95 southbound when he was spotted around 8 a.m. in Greenland by a police aircraft, according to authorities. Jeep markets the SUV as “drag-strip ready.”
After he was stopped, Joseph told a trooper from the special enforcement unit that he was traveling home to New Jersey, police said.
