A Boston man stabbed on the Fourth of July has died. His wife is being charged.

The victim of a stabbing in Quincy on the Fourth of July has died, and his wife is being charged in the incident, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.Quincy police were called to the reported stabbing at 10 South Central Ave. just prior to 7 p.m. on the holiday. The victim — Biqiang He, 55, of 67 W. Newton St., Boston — was brought to Quincy Medical Center and then to Boston Medical Center, where he underwent surgery, authorities said. He died at the hospital on Sunday.His wife, Huixian Liu, 46, of the same address, was arrested after an investigation at the scene, according to the district attorney’s office.“Because of the seriousness of the injuries, Quincy Police also contacted the State Police homicide detectives assigned to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office to enter the investigation,” officials said.On Friday, prior to He’s death, Liu pleaded not guilty in relation to the incident in Quincy District Court. She was ordered held without bail to await a dangerousness hearing slated for this Friday, authorities said. An autopsy on He is being performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, according to officials.“Prosecutors will examine the existing assault charges in light of the victim’s death, and the information revealed by the autopsy, in advance of her Friday court appearance,” the district attorney’s office said.
