RYE, N.H. (AP) — Law enforcement officials say a New Hampshire man is charged with fondling an 86-year-old patient in a nursing home memory-care unit in Rye.
Officials said Wednesday that 69-year-old Hugh McIntyre is charged with assault and sexual assault.

A statement by the attorney general’s office said the charges are misdemeanors but McIntyre is subject to an extended term of imprisonment because he took advantage of the woman’s “age or physical disability.”
The statement said McIntyre fondled the woman’s breast on Jan. 28.
McIntyre, who was working as a custodian at the time, has pleaded not guilty and is free on $5,000 bail. His attorney didn’t immediately return a message on Thursday.
