No arrests have been made in quadruple stabbing outside Boston nightclub
"Broken up in 15 seconds and you step outside and see what the result was," a witness told a news station. "These guys ruined it over something petty, a spilled drink."
A day after four people were injured in a stabbing outside a Boston nightclub early Sunday morning no arrests have been made, according to police.
The brawl allegedly broke out at Society on High in the Financial District, The Boston Globe reports. Authorities responded to an emergency call in the area around 1:08 a.m.
“The disagreement began inside and moved outside,” Officer Stephen McNulty, a department spokesman, told the newspaper.
According to its website, the upscale restaurant and bar becomes SoHi at Night, a nightclub with music and dancing, on Friday and Saturday nights.
A witness, who was not identified, told Boston 25 News that bystanders quickly broke up the fight, which started over a spilled drink.
“It happened so fast, I’ve never seen anything like that,” the witness said. “Broken up in 15 seconds and you step outside and see what the result was. These guys ruined it over something petty, a spilled drink.”
The witness told the news station one of the men injured was treated by a club employee, who applied pressure to a wound until paramedics came to the scene.
The alleged attacker was armed with a pocket knife, according to the witness.
Four people were hospitalized after the incident, including one that authorities initially said suffered life-threatening injuries but later said was expected to survive, according to an Associated Press report.
One victim who suffered minor injuries took himself to the hospital while the other three were brought by ambulance, the Globe reports.

On Sunday, workers donned hazmat suits as they scrubbed blood off the sidewalk in front of the nightclub, according to the Globe. The scene was clean by the evening.
A Boston police spokeswoman told Boston.com Monday morning that no arrests had been made. No updates in the case were available.
