Man allegedly attempted to take photo of teenage girl in Burlington Mall fitting room

The incident happened inside Forever 21 on Thursday afternoon, officials said.

A 31-year-old man who allegedly tried to photograph a 16-year-old girl inside a fitting room at the Burlington Mall was arraigned Friday, the Middlesex District Attorney’s office announced Monday.

Lucner Michel, of Framingham, was charged with one count of photographing intimate parts of a child after he allegedly tried to take a cell phone photo or video of the girl as she undressed inside Forever 21 on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

Burlington police responded to a report from two 16-year-old girls around 4 p.m. that a man had tried to record one of them inside one of the store’s fitting rooms, according to a statement from the DA’s office.

“Through mall surveillance footage and witness statements, authorities were allegedly able to locate and identify the defendant as the individual who allegedly attempted to take cell phone footage of the female victim in a state of undress,” the statement said.

Judge David Frank released Michel on personal recognizance Friday, officials said. He was ordered to stay away from the victim, witnesses, and the Burlington Mall.

He is scheduled to appear in court again on April 3.
