6 years later, investigators renew call for help in unsolved Malden murder
Officials believe the murder of Shawn Clark can still be solved.
Six years after Shawn Clark was murdered inside his Malden skateboard shop, investigators are renewing their call to the public for help in finding two suspects allegedly involved in shooting and killing the father of two.

On Tuesday, the anniversary of the deadly confrontation, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan again released video surveillance footage from inside Patriot Skateboards that officials say depicts two suspects involved in the shooting.
“Investigators believe the murder of Shawn Clark can be solved and are hopeful that over the passing of these six years someone who knows something may decide to come forward and speak to detectives,” a statement from Ryan’s office said. “On occasion with other crimes, a citizen has come forward with a small detail which may not appear to have significance to the person but which has opened doors for detectives and sent them along a path that has led to an arrest.”
Authorities say two men entered the 804 Main St. store just after 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 29, 2013. Following a confrontation, Clark was shot multiple times by one of the men, according to investigators.
The pair then fled the scene.
In the years since, Malden police and Massachusetts State Police “have made some progress” but no suspects have been charged, the statement said.
According to his obituary, Clark, a Saugus resident, was a U.S. Marine veteran who served in Iraq and was a married father of two young children at the time.
The DA’s office asked that those who view the surveillance video note the faces, bodies, and clothing of the two men depicted.
Those with information related to the incident are asked to call state police at 781-897-6600 or Malden police at 781-397-7171.
