Man, said to be in his 20s, shot to death in Roxbury
The shooting prompted a personal response from a newly elected state representative.
A man said to be in his late 20s was shot to death in Roxbury Tuesday afternoon, and Boston police are continuing to investigate what happened.Police were called to the area near 42 Crawford St. around 4:31 p.m. for a report of shots fired.When officials arrived, they saw evidence of gunfire and then found the victim near 10 Howland St. who was believed to be suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead, police said.On Twitter, newly elected state Rep. Liz Miranda spoke out against gun violence following the incident in a series of tweets.
