4 people arrested in Dorchester armed robbery

The suspects allegedly stole a man's cellphone and tablet at knifepoint.

Four people accused of robbing a man of his cellphone and tablet at knifepoint in Dorchester were arrested early Saturday morning, according to police.

Victor Torres, 41, of Dorchester; John Santa, 29, of Dorchester; Sandro Rosa, 31, of Boston; and Angel Torres, 36, of Mattapan, were all charged with armed robbery after the incident near 14 Trull St., Boston police said in a statement.

The victim told officers he was robbed by four people — two of them holding knives — who fled from the scene in a vehicle, officials said.

Other responding officers found a vehicle matching the description near Adams and Winter streets, authorities said. As police pursued the four suspects, officers saw the vehicle’s front passenger side door open slightly and one of the suspects drop the tablet to the ground, according to the statement.
