Wayne Shay, 36, of Nashua, New Hampshire, and Sheri Napier, 36, of Dracut were arrested Thursday in Dracut and were being held by police as fugitives from New Hampshire, state police said. The two were arrested on warrants from New Hampshire but are expected to have additional charges lodged against them in Massachusetts.
A subsequent investigation led police to the Pepperell home where they found “16 stolen firearms, 17 high-capacity magazines, a 100-round drum magazine and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition,” according to police. Among the firearms were several semi-automatic rifles, a few pistols, a shotgun, and a couple revolvers. State police took the weapons, they said.
Police began searching for the two suspects because of an incident involving weapons stolen in Nashua, New Hampshire.
