Police investigating menorah pushed down on Cambridge Common as possible hate crime
Witnesses told police they saw someone wearing all black push the menorah over on Sunday.
A large menorah was toppled on the Cambridge Common over the weekend, and police say they’re investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.A couple of witnesses called police on Sunday around 3:30 p.m., according to Cambridge police spokesman Jeremy Warnick. They said a man dressed in black and riding a black bicycle walked over to the menorah and pushed it over.The man then got back on the bike and rode through the common toward Waterhouse Street, Warnick said.“A suspect has not yet been identified, and this is being investigated as a possible hate crime,” he said.
Our Detectives are currently investigating. On Sunday at approximately 3:30p, 2 witnesses observed a white male, who was dressed in all black, riding a black bicycle, get off of his bicycle and walk over to the Menorah and push it over.

A video being circulated on Twitter and various news outlets shows a group picking up the menorah and standing it back in place.
