An Everett ride-share driver was arrested for allegedly raping a passenger in Dorchester

An Everett man is facing charges after he allegedly raped a woman in Dorchester while driving her through a ride-sharing service, police said Wednesday.
Michael Squadrito, 40, was arrested for rape Tuesday, Boston police said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, he allegedly assaulted his passenger, who was using the ride-sharing service to return home from downtown Boston, authorities said.
“The driver of the service drove to a location in Dorchester where he sexually assaulted the victim,” the statement said.
Squadrito was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Dorchester District Court.
