Pepperell police are investigating vandalism to a covered bridge

Pepperell police are investigating vandalism after they say the covered bridge on Groton Street and a portion of the Nashua River Rail Trail were marked with graffiti earlier this week.Police received an email on Monday about the vandalism and went to the scene at 10:50 a.m. that day, according to a news release.There, they found the bridge had been vandalized.Someone who said they walk through the bridge every day said the graffiti was new.Police visited again on Thursday and found more graffiti that wasn’t there when they last checked.
