A Boston man used a black BB handgun to attempt three armed robberies within 30 minutes, police said.Keith Kirk, 27, is set to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of armed carjacking, armed assault to rob, and “multiple counts” of assault by means of a dangerous weapon — in this case, the BB gun, according to Boston policePolice say the spree began at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday when officers were called to the area of 34 Beach St. for an armed robbery. The victim told police two men in a red vehicle pulled up, pulled out a black handgun, and “demanded money.” The men then drove away when the victim didn’t comply, according to police.Five minutes later, police were called to an armed robbery again, at 32 Mill St.This time, a red vehicle pulled up alongside the victim’s white vehicle, which he was just getting in, police said. A man matching the description as the men in the first incident demanded money and showed a gun, according to police. The victim ran away, and one of the men allegedly stole his vehicle.Less than a half hour later at 6:41 a.m., officers were called to another armed robbery near 49 Fuller St. In this incident, the victim was sitting in traffic behind a white vehicle when the driver got out of the car, pulled out a weapon, and, again, asked for money.The victim declined, and the suspect got back in the vehicle and left.Notification was sent out to area police departments, and, at 9:30 a.m., Lawrence police spotted a vehicle matching the description of the white vehicle reportedly stolen.Kirk was arrested, and police found the black weapon, which turned out to be a BB gun.
