A man bit off part of a bouncer’s finger at a New Hampshire bar, police say
The severed finger was found inside the bar afterward.
A man is accused of biting off part of a bar bouncer’s finger in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Thursday night and is facing several related charges.Gregory Geneus, 37, struck the 30-year-old bouncer several times “with a closed fist” at McGarvey’s on Elm Street, police said in a news release, before the bouncer tried to put him in a “bear hug.”That’s when Geneus allegedly bit off part of the man’s finger.Police were called to the scene at 9:40 p.m. and arrested Geneus for second-degree assault, simple assault, criminal trespass, and violation of bail conditions.The finger was found in the bar, and the bouncer was taken to a nearby hospital to see if medical professionals could reattach it, police said.Geneus was set to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court – North on Thursday, according to police.
