Authorities seize 87 pounds of marijuana in Worcester raid

The marijuana, cash, and firearm seized during the raid.
Authorities seized a gun, two cars, 87 pounds of marijuana, and a large amount of cash during a raid Thursday morning in Worcester, state police said in a statement.
The state police gang unit, as well as other state police units, local police, and federal agents, executed a search warrant at 54 First St. as a result of an investigation.
During the raid, authorities seized a .45 caliber large capacity pistol loaded with 13 rounds, a large amount of marijuana vacuum heat-sealed in one-pound bags, and over $76,000 in cash, police said. Because of applicable narcotics forfeiture laws, a Lexus GX460 and a Lexus RC sports sedan were also seized, according to authorities.
Hung Le, 44, the tenant of the residence, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of large capacity pistol and magazine, improper storage of a firearm, and trafficking in marijuana, police said.
Le was expected to be arraigned Thursday in Worcester District Court.
