Drivers looking for an extra boost during holiday travel can stop at one of 18 Massachusetts service plazas during their trip for free coffee.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is offering a free cup of joe to drivers between 10 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday.

AAA warns that about 950,000 Massachusetts residents will drive to their Turkey Day destinations, which is up 5.1 percent from last year.
