2 arrested for lewd conduct in a restroom at Back Bay station

Two people were arrested Thursday for lewd conduct in a restroom at Back Bay station, MBTA Transit Police said in a statement Friday.

Around 9 p.m. Thursday, an officer on patrol at Back Bay station spotted a man and a woman allegedly engaging in sexual activity in a bathroom stall of the men’s restroom.

The officer interrupted Michael Leate, 36, of Boston, and Shauna Keller, 25, of Braintree, according to the statement. Leate was allegedly in possession of stolen checks, and Keller was allegedly in possession of what is believed to be heroin and gave a false name to police, the statement said.

Leate and Keller were arrested and will be charged with lewd, wanton, and lascivious conduct. Keller will face additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and false name at booking. Leate will also be charged with possession of stolen property, according to police.
