Police release video of person of interest in attempted kidnapping in Roxbury
Boston police have released a video of a person of interest in an attempted kidnapping that occurred in Roxbury Tuesday morning. An image of the man was previously released.
Around 6:22 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Brookford Street for a report of an attempted kidnapping.
The female juvenile victim managed to safely get away from the suspect with help from a passerby and she was not injured, according to police.
Police said they are searching for the suspect, who was described as a clean shaven black man between 6-foot and 6-foot-2 and weighing around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black T-shirt, and tan pants.
After the incident, the suspect was seen fleeing the area in a white newer model Nissan Sentra with a moonroof and a factory-installed rear wing on the trunk, according to police.
