Five men were arrested and three loaded guns recovered after shots fired were reported Tuesday in Dorchester, Boston police said in a statement.

Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the area of 14 Rill St. for a report of shots fired. No injuries were reported but ballistic evidence was found at the scene, according to police.

In the area of 107 Columbia Road, officers later located and stopped a vehicle that had been seen fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed with its headlights turned off.

Police said they removed Carlin Rigaud, 33, of Hyde Park; Pierre Michel, 23, of Everett; Jordan James, 22, of Everett; Belamino Monteiro, 19, of Dorchester; and Gilson Texiera, 19, of Dorchester, from the car.

While performing a pat frisk on Monteiro, officers recovered a loaded 9mm Rugar handgun from his jacket pocket, according to authorities. Police said they also found a loaded .25 caliber Colt handgun and a loaded large-capacity 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun with an erased serial number left in plain sight inside the vehicle.

All five suspects were arrested and have been arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a large capacity firearm, and possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, according to police.
