Medford man charged with assault on MBTA bus driver

A Medford man was identified, arrested, and charged for assaulting an MBTA bus driver on August 15 in Boston, transit police said in a statement Wednesday.

Around 12:30 a.m. on August 15, a bus operator was assaulted at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Brighton Avenue.

After police posted pictures of an individual wanted in connection to the assault, the investigation led to the identification of 27-year-old John J. Sullivan, according to police.

On September 20, Sullivan was charged with assault and battery on a public employee in Brighton District Court.
