Police seeking public’s help to identify man wanted in Brighton sexual assault
Boston police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection to a sexual assault that occurred early Saturday in Brighton.Around 3:45 a.m., officers responded to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital to take a report from a victim stating she had been sexually assaulted, police said in a statement.
The victim left the Tavern in the Square restaurant and bar at 161 Brighton Ave. in Allston at about 12:30 a.m. She then entered what is believed to be dark-colored sedan, thinking it was a ride-hailing service vehicle, according to police.
The victim told officers she was sexually assaulted by a passenger in the car during the ride. Police said the passenger was described as a black male in his early 20s, about six feet tall, with short hair and a slim build, and wearing a long-sleeve flannel shirt.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 617-343-4400.
