Police: Boston man wanted for rape was secretly videotaping women at T station
A Boston man arrested for secretly videotaping women at an MBTA station was wanted for rape, authorities say.

James Cullers.
Transit police say they were called to the Porter Square station Tuesday at about 3:30 p.m. after receiving a report that a man was secretly videotaping women passengers. A woman told police that a fellow passenger said, “He’s videotaping up your skirt,” according to police. The man was later identified as 51-year-old James Cullers.
Police say Cullers admitted to videotaping up the woman’s skirt when she confronted him. He then agreed to delete the video, officials said. As an officer approached Cullers, police say he “began to manipulate the phone and apologize.”
Cullers was placed into custody for making a secret video, also known at the “upskirting” law. During the booking process, police discovered that Cullers had a warrant out for his arrest from Wareham District Court for rape and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over age 14.
Cullers is scheduled to be arraigned in Cambridge District Court on Wednesday.
