Man killed in Dorchester shooting identified
The victim of a fatal shooting in Dorchester on Saturday has been identified by Boston police.
Phillip Woods, 23, of Boston, was pronounced dead at the scene after officers found him and two other men in their early 20s suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to police.
Around 2:18 a.m., officers responded to the area of Nightingale and Wales streets for a report of a person or persons shot. Officers located Woods and the two other victims, who were taken to local hospitals with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
Police are still investigating the incident and anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
