3 Cape Cod men plead guilty to heroin trafficking and firearm charges

Three Cape Cod men have pleaded guilty to heroin trafficking and firearm charges, the U.S. Attorney’s office said in a statement Tuesday.Sean Pratt, 28, of Marstons Mills, pleaded guilty on Friday to conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin, and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.Benjamin Roderick, 20, of Hyannis, pleaded guilty on Monday to conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. Richard Serriello, 30, of West Dennis, pleaded guilty on Friday to possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Denzel Chisholm, Christopher Wilkins and other co-conspirators are responsible for the distribution of large quantities of heroin on Cape Cod. Pratt allegedly bought large amounts of heroin from Chisholm and sold it to other distributors. The U.S. Attorney’s office said heroin and a firearm were found during a search of his home.Authorities said Roderick regularly bought heroin from Wilkins for personal use and distribution. He allegedly tried to trade a firearm for 10 grams of heroin on March 7, but was arrested before making the exchange with Wilkins, according to authorities.On May 21, 2015, police spotted Serriello engaging in a drug deal, the U.S. Attorney’s office said. He evaded police when officers tried to stop him, taking off on his motorcycle. Authorities said police later found his motorcycle parked in Dennis and discovered around 400 grams of concealed heroin inside it.

Pratt is expected to be sentenced on December 16; Roderick on January 10, 2017; and Serriello on December 20.

Chisholm and Wilkins have both pleaded not guilty to the charges against them, the U.S. Attorney’s office said.
