Authorities: Six ‘MS-13’ members charged in murder of Lawrence teen
Six members of the criminal organization “MS-13” have been charged in the murder of a Lawrence teen in July 2015, the U.S. Attorney’s office said in a statement Tuesday.Oscar Noe Recinos-Garcia, aka “Psycho,” 22, of Somerville; German Hernandez-Escobar, aka “Terible,” 28, of Medford; Noe Salvador Perez-Vasquez, aka “Crazy,” 25, of Somerville; Jose Rene Andrade, aka “Triste,” aka “Inocente,” 24, of Somerville; Josue Alexis De Paz, aka “Gato,” 19, of Lawrence; and Manuel Diaz-Granados, aka “Perverso,” 19, of Somerville, who was deported, are charged with a federal racketeering conspiracy, which included the murder of a 16-year-old.The defendants allegedly stabbed Jose Aguilar-Villanueva, aka “Fantasma,” to death on July 5, 2015, in O’Connell Park in Lawrence, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office. Recinos-Garcia, Hernandez-Escobar, Perez-Vasquez, and Andrade had been previously charged with racketeering conspiracy. Authorities said Hernandez-Escobar and Perez-Vasquez have been identified as leaders of MS-13’s Everett Loco Salvatrucha (ELS) clique.
The indictment is part of an ongoing investigation into the criminal activities of the organization, according to the statement.
It now alleges that 17 “MS-13” members were responsible for six murders between October 2014 and January 2016 in Chelsea, East Boston, and Lawrence, as well as the attempted murder of at least 15 people, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.
