Boston police have located the woman who was wanted for questioning in connection with the death of a teen whose body was discovered earlier this summer in an East Boston garage.

“The Boston Police Department would like to thank all who assisted in the identification of the female in these photographs,” the department wrote in a statement.

Police released video of a woman on Thursday who was wanted for questioning. Boston police declined to comment further about the woman or why they wanted to speak with her.

Blanca Lainez, 18, of Chelsea, was found dead in the garage, lying on top of pieces of wood with her arms over her face, covered in blood, police have said. She was discovered by construction workers.

Police arrested Jose Hernandez, 15, of East Boston, in July for the murder of Lainez. Officials said he stabbed and beat the teenager to death. Both Hernandez and Lainez are originally from El Salvador and they had “extensive contact,” according to Assistant District Attorney John Verner. Hernandez will be arraigned Friday in East Boston Municipal Court.
