Authorities investigating stabbing that killed New Bedford teen
A New Bedford teenager was killed and two others were injured in a stabbing attack early Wednesday evening, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.
Just before 6:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Middle and Chancery streets for reports of a stabbing. Upon arriving, they found three male teenage victims, authorities said.
One of the teenagers, a 15-year-old boy, died from his injuries, according to the DA’s office. His name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
The other two were taken to local hospitals with injuries that weren’t considered to be life-threatening, authorities said.
Officials are continuing to investigate the incident.
