Suspect in Puerto Rico murder seen in Providence

A man wanted for a murder that occurred in Puerto Rico was seen Friday in Providence, according to Rhode Island State Police.
Pedro Torres, 36, was spotted near the Marriott Hotel and the Rhode Island Department of Health on Orms Street around 1:15 p.m., police said.
Police said Torres is responsible for a homicide involving a firearm in Puerto Rico, and is also wanted in Providence for failing to appear in court on a charge of possession of firearm by a fugitive.
Torres is considered armed and dangerous, according to police. He was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt, shorts, and work boots, police said.
Anyone who sees Torres should refrain from approaching him and contact police at 401-444-1100.
