Police: Victim of fatal shooting in Dorchester identified
Boston police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that took place Friday in Dorchester.
Carlos Fortes Neves-Silva, 34, of Brockton, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in a statement. No suspects have been identified yet.
Around 11:38 p.m., officers responded to the area of 21 Algonquin St. for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found Neves-Silva suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds, according to police.
Police are still investigating the incident and encourage anyone with information to call the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
