Man charged with stabbing woman in Dorchester overnight
A 33-year-old man was charged on Thursday with stabbing an 18-year-old woman several times in Dorchester, prosecutors said.
At a Dorchester Municipal Court arraignment, Headley Barnes was ordered held on $10,000 bail and charged with armed assault with intent to murder, Suffolk District Attorney Dan Conley’s office said in a statement.
Prosecutors allege that Barnes attacked the 18-year-old in a home on Millet Street overnight Wednesday and left her with life-threatening injuries. He also beat another woman, Conley’s office said.
He is scheduled to reappear in court Sept. 9.
